On Sundays after Mass I usually meet friends at Betty's for coffee. They are Pat Folsom, whom I taught fifth grade with at Gilbert School and Betty Linscott and she taught first grade at Gilbert and swears that after that they don't learn anything. The other person is Lil Huntington who taught fourth grade with me at Farrington.
Well on this particular morning I told them about Suz and her story that she and Grant were writing about their engagement. When I got done we all looked at each other and then laughed because of this new idea and couldn't think of our own stories and then Pat said Brooks, her granddaughter, just got engaged and told us the story of that. Lil mentioned something abut a justice of the peace but I think she was kidding. I just sort of got married and then Betty came up with the best story---she told Joe that if they didn't get married she was going to Japan to teach. It worked.
Anyway on Sunday we try to solve all the world's problems and have a lot of fun trying.
